The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan D'haene showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. KSV Durnal's Jonathan D'haene played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kristiaan Raemakers in the 7th minute of play. The supporters of Club Walsegem booed when KSV Durnal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dimitri Desmet didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sander Verhaghe struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Jonathan D'haene didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Walsegem. After 12 played minutes, Club Walsegem's Lex Van Dessel shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jonathan D'haene came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Club Walsegem reached it. After some careless play in the KSV Durnal defense, Sander Verhaghe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan D'haene. The KSV Durnal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan D'haene should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mike De Messemaeckre in the 23rd minute of play forced Club Walsegem's goalkeeper Raf Van Eynde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mike De Messemaeckre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raf Van Eynde having to interfere. If Kristiaan Raemakers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mike De Messemaeckre struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Raf Van Eynde didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KSV Durnal. Gregorie Vanbuyten in the 38thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Raf Van Eynde, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Lauren Van den Plas hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. The KSV Durnal players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Club Walsegem were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sander Verhaghe was the one to do the kick off. The KSV Durnal fans' excitement grew in the 55th match minute when KSV Durnal's Gregorie Vanbuyten looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Dimitri Desmet kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fredrik Huijberechts during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When KSV Durnal's Gregorie Vanbuyten in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Jonathan D'haene breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Kristiaan Raemakers managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Walsegem's supporters rose to their feet, but Kristiaan Raemakers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
