In the 34th minute, Arnaud Geijselinckx fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Mathis Claevers, passed just outside the right post. In the 35th minute Robert Gysens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mathis Claevers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jacques De Vaddere recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arnaud Geijselinckx fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mathis Claevers having to interfere. The supporters of AFC Mortier booed when RSC Grobbendonk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ben Struijf didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arnaud Geijselinckx could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Mathis Claevers made a huge save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arnaud Geijselinckx was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, RSC Grobbendonk's goal looked a bit too open when Arnaud Geijselinckx came free, but Mathis Claevers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arnaud Geijselinckx in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mathis Claevers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mathis Claevers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Gysens in the 60th minute of play. Arnaud Geijselinckx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Mathis Claevers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnaud Geijselinckx in the 66th minute of play forced RSC Grobbendonk's goalkeeper Mathis Claevers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sander De Weijgaert charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sander De Weijgaert the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 71st minute, Sander De Weijgaert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Gysens in the 73rd minute of play forced RSC Grobbendonk's goalkeeper Mathis Claevers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute, AFC Mortier's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jammy Bekaert fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After having played for 78 minutes, Jammy Bekaert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RSC Grobbendonk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jammy Bekaert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jammy Bekaert could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Sam Vounckx made a huge save. If Arnaud Geijselinckx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Robert Gysens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jacques De Vaddere had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jammy Bekaert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sam Vounckx having to interfere. The RSC Grobbendonk players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented AFC Mortier from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
