Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dennis Van Eijcke in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Levi Van Halbeeck prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Joe De Meulder's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Levi Van Halbeeck was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Godfried Iansens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gillis Van Riel, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Levi Van Halbeeck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joe De Meulder in the 27th minute of play.
