After 34 minutes, Nicolas Uijterhoeven mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Halen and the Haneffe players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gabriel Van Deyck took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 36th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kenny Van den Panhuijsen. Halen's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Joos Minnen might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jacky Bernaers. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joos Minnen ran back to his position shaking his head. Joos Minnen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jacky Bernaers read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. Maurice Verhengen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kenny Van den Panhuijsen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Jacq Dirickx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There was no doubt that Halen were the better team. Halen's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
