Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Pino Correyns kicked off to start the match. The attack was good, but when Roben Lambrecht in the 5th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Charles-Antoine De Mijer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rudy Lanfan in the 7th minute. When KAA Wesemael's Roben Lambrecht in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Zandhoven's goalie prevented a goal. KAA Wesemael's Roben Lambrecht was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 12th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After 16 minutes of play, Zandhoven's Pino Correyns made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thobias Quintens was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Zandhoven booed when KAA Wesemael was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Berten Nys didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Zandhoven's Franck Dewulf tried to score from far away in the 21st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Rens Van den Driesch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thobias Quintens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rens Van den Driesch in the 28th minute of the match. Ritchie Imbereghs struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Charles-Antoine De Mijer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KAA Wesemael. After 38 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Zandhoven! Charles-Antoine De Mijer went to the wrong direction when Frederick Van Craen was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Charles-Antoine De Mijer had great luck who in the 40thth minute grab hold of the ball when Frederick Van Craen from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. After 44 minutes of play, Zandhoven's Pino Correyns made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thobias Quintens was left in no man's land by his defense there! After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Roben Lambrecht was the one to do the kick off. 58 minutes into the game, one of KAA Wesemael:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 60 minutes, Zandhoven's Franck Dewulf got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Thobias Quintens. Pino Correyns hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Niki Van Bockorst kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. A collision led to KAA Wesemael getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Berten Nys hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Pino Correyns managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zandhoven's supporters rose to their feet, but Pino Correyns was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thobias Quintens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zandhoven's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
