Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Rocky Pelleman started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. With a little luck, SK Vresse's Guust Laureys got control of the ball when Jerom Coosemans tried to sneak it across the goal line. 4 minutes into the match, SK Vresse's goal looked a bit too open when Rocky Pelleman came free, but Guust Laureys reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, William Neef managed to get in a good position for a shot. SK Vresse's supporters rose to their feet, but William Neef was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jaspar Smet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jerom Coosemans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guust Laureys having to interfere. Guust Laureys stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rocky Pelleman's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Jerom Coosemans took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Guust Laureys. Guust Laureys dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by William Neef in the 25th minute of play forced FC Athis's goalkeeper Jaspar Smet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the game, Bobby Willems was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Athis's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SK Vresse the free kick. The supporters of SK Vresse booed when FC Athis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bobby Willems didn't get a good kick on the ball. Simon Michiels charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Simon Michiels the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Simon Michiels kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After 32 played minutes FC Athis got a freekick which was hit by Christof Valckeners. Roni Van Aken charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roni Van Aken the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of FC Athis booed when SK Vresse was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roni Van Aken didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stephen Sproten was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 36th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When Constantijn De Weijngaerden came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the FC Athis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Constantijn De Weijngaerden couldn't finish the play. Jerom Coosemans recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The wind increased when Ief deconinck made the kick off in the second half. SK Vresse's William Neef got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rocky Pelleman's late challenge caught a SK Vresse's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rocky Pelleman helped the player get up and apologised. After 60 played minutes FC Athis got a freekick which was hit by Rocky Pelleman. William Neef's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jaspar Smet firmly grabbed it by the left post. FC Athis's Jaspar Smet proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save FC Athis from getting a goal against them. The supporters of FC Athis booed when SK Vresse was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brecht Daems didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bobby Willems was shown his second yellow card after 67 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 68th match minute, FC Athis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bobby Willems to maneuver through the defense. Ief deconinck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaspar Smet having to interfere. When Dre Van den Enden fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SK Vresse's protests and gave Dre Van den Enden a yellow card for diving instead. After 78 played minutes SK Vresse got a freekick which was hit by Dre Van den Enden. 83 minutes into the match, FC Athis's goalkeeper Jaspar Smet had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by William Neef. Ief deconinck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jaspar Smet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ief deconinck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. William Neef received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Jaspar Smet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th minute of the match Teo Ivens sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jaspar Smet skillfully saved the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC Athis fans cheered their team off the field, for while SK Vresse had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
