Hombeek's Steve Van den Maegdenbergh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dimitri Wyfliets in the 5th minute of play. Steve Van den Maegdenbergh made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arnoud De Mijer in the 6th minute. Arnoud De Mijer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Steve Van den Maegdenbergh made a huge save. Serge Davus's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 32ndth minute, Steve Van den Maegdenbergh skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 34 minutes into the game, Franky Van Lint cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Jozef Demeyer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 39 minutes, Ivan Mattheijs made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ivan Mattheijs to strike the kick off in the second half. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jozef Demeyer, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a little luck, AFC Kortessem's Jozef Demeyer got control of the ball when Franky Van Lint tried to sneak it across the goal line.
