After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Nicolas Provoost managed to get in a good position for a shot. KFC Erpe's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicolas Provoost was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thomas Cantillon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Balthazar Vercalsteren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernt Rijmenans made an important save on a dangerous shot by Balthazar Vercalsteren in the 11th minute. In the 16th minute Nicolas Provoost shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Cantillon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Balthazar Vercalsteren scored 2-0 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bernt Rijmenans, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Johny Bracke struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Bernt Rijmenans didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caeneghem. The audience thought a goal was coming when Balthazar Vercalsteren got free with Bernt Rijmenans in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Balthazar Vercalsteren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When Balthazar Vercalsteren came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Caeneghem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Balthazar Vercalsteren couldn't finish the play. Sam Van der Hoeven struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Thomas Cantillon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KFC Erpe. In the 85th minute, Johny Bracke left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Caeneghem fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Nicolas Provoost struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Thomas Cantillon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KFC Erpe. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Caeneghem fans cheered their team off the field, for while KFC Erpe had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
