Jonathan Hendricks in the 3rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dylan Clijsters, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Georges Van Maestricht's late challenge caught a KVSK Flobecq's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Georges Van Maestricht helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to KFC Vanrunkelen getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Georges Van Maestricht hit a great ball. KVSK Flobecq's Alexander De Reijck got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Armand Kest had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Jonathan Hendricks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adolphe Wouters in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bas Van Langhendonck prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in KVSK Flobecq's zone, Adolphe Wouters stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bas Van Langhendonck came out of the goal and Adolphe Wouters tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 25 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for KVSK Flobecq! In the 27th minute there was a penalty for KFC Vanrunkelen. Sebbe Wynaerts stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Bas Van Langhendonck. 0-1. If Adolphe Wouters had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the KVSK Flobecq defense, Armand Kest kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bas Van Langhendonck. The KVSK Flobecq fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bas Van Langhendonck should have stopped the shot. After 36 played minutes KFC Vanrunkelen got a freekick which was hit by Georges Van Maestricht. Jonathan Hendricks's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Dylan Clijsters firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 39th match minute, KFC Vanrunkelen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Georges Van Maestricht to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Hendricks's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 40thth minute, Dylan Clijsters skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Georges-Philippe Delamenin fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KFC Vanrunkelen's protests and gave Georges-Philippe Delamenin a yellow card for diving instead. Georges-Philippe Delamenin hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Thys Van Acker, 46 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alexander De Reijck to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in KFC Vanrunkelen's zone, Alexander De Reijck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dylan Clijsters came out of the goal and Alexander De Reijck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adolphe Wouters sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armand Kest in the 57th minute of play forced KVSK Flobecq's goalkeeper Bas Van Langhendonck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tommy Loots kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Jonathan Hendricks received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Dylan Clijsters tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Armand Kest fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bas Van Langhendonck having to interfere. Georges Van Maestricht got his second yellow card in the match during the 76th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 77th minute, Georges Van Maestricht hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adolphe Wouterss short, quick shot in the 86thth minute got Bas Van Langhendonck to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. KFC Vanrunkelen's Armand Kest suffered a sore foot after 88 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 88 minutes, Tommy Loots mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KVSK Flobecq and the KFC Vanrunkelen players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 89th match minute, KVSK Flobecq was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tommy Loots to maneuver through the defense. In the 92nd minute, Kristen Acke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dylan Clijsters showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexander De Reijck in the 94th minute of the match. The KFC Vanrunkelen supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing KFC Vanrunkelen would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
