Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Lucien van Haecht hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Kontich's zone, Isaac Lambrechts stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Theo Tombeurs came out of the goal and Isaac Lambrechts tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Kontich getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Niki Debruyn hit a great ball. Basiel Vrankx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Max De Brouwer in the 24th minute of play. 24 minutes into the game, Max De Brouwer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Basiel Vrankx was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lionel Thys got free with Theo Tombeurs in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Kontich getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Jimmy Debecker hit a great ball. Lionel Thys received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Theo Tombeurs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jimmy Debecker might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Basiel Vrankx. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jimmy Debecker ran back to his position shaking his head. After 45 played minutes Club Wadelincourt got a freekick which was hit by Roger De Fever. In the 48th minute Kontich were awarded a corner. Brecht Leenknecht went to the cornerflag to take it. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Isaac Lambrechts was the one to do the kick off. Lionel Thys recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Isaac Lambrechts in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Theo Tombeurs saved Kontich from getting behind. In the 56th match minute, Club Wadelincourt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roger De Fever to maneuver through the defense. Basiel Vrankx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimmy Debecker in the 59th minute of play. Isaac Lambrechts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Theo Tombeurs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kontich's Theo Tombeurs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaac Lambrechts in the 62nd minute of play. When the match clock showed 66 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Isaac Lambrechts sped through Kontich's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Theo Tombeurs. In the 72ndth minute of the game Lionel Thys who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kontich's Theo Tombeurs was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 73rd match minute, Kontich was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niki Debruyn to maneuver through the defense. 80 minutes into the match, Club Wadelincourt's Lionel Thys sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Theo Tombeurs narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 84 minutes into the match, Lionel Thys notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Kontich's Theo Tombeurs. Theo Tombeurs was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 92 minutes into the game, Jimmy Debecker recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Basiel Vrankx. Jimmy Debecker showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. In the 97th minute, Kontich's Jimmy Debecker ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Basiel Vrankx. Basiel Vrankx yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-4. The Kontich supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Kontich would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
