A collision led to SC Grobbendonk getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Thibau De Meulder hit a great ball. In the 4th minute, SC Grobbendonk's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Mario Celis fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 5th minute, Stanny Van Hallebeecke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 10 minutes, Jerom Fondria mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tikken en weg and the SC Grobbendonk players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Tikken en weg's Jerom Fondria got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 13th minute, Ronald Pardons made a precise shot to the right of Loui Hollandts. Tikken en weg's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Jos Van der Goten in the 22ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jarno De Malier, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jos Van der Goten in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jarno De Malier saved SC Grobbendonk from getting behind. After having played for 45 minutes, Jos Van der Goten managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tikken en weg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jos Van der Goten was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mario Celis was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 46th minute. Tikken en weg's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jos Van der Goten to strike the kick off in the second half. Jorge Van De Wyngaert hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Jos Van der Goten's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jarno De Malier was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. After having played for 56 minutes, Jos Van der Goten managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tikken en weg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jos Van der Goten was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thibau De Meulder kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Ronald Pardons's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Loui Hollandts firmly grabbed it by the left post. Ronald Pardons's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Loui Hollandts read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jos Van der Goten in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jarno De Malier prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luukas Waterloos charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luukas Waterloos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Tikken en weg's Luukas Waterloos got a free kick in the 66th minute. Ronald Pardons's late challenge caught a Tikken en weg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ronald Pardons helped the player get up and apologised. In the 68th minute, Ronald Pardons hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SC Grobbendonk's Jarno De Malier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jos Van der Goten in the 75th minute of play. Jarno De Malier came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Tikken en weg's Jos Van der Goten. But to his dismay, Jos Van der Goten quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Tikken en weg's Mario Celis got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jarno De Malier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jos Van der Goten in the 84th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 86 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Jos Van der Goten sped through SC Grobbendonk's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jarno De Malier. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jos Van der Goten in the 90th minute of play forced SC Grobbendonk's goalkeeper Jarno De Malier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jos Van der Goten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Jarno De Malier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
