In the 19th minute Alexander Engelbert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lars Limpens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Fred Tilens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Pierre-Paul Van Hautvinck managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Mohamed's supporters rose to their feet, but Pierre-Paul Van Hautvinck was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ernest Verdeyen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lars Limpens didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 26th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. FC Mohamed's Lars Limpens proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save FC Mohamed from getting a goal against them. After having played for 36 minutes, Fred Tilens managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ernest Verdeyen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Steffe Van Dessen went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Steffe Van Dessen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Steffe Van Dessen to make the kick off. Steffe Van Dessen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, AFC Luchteren's Ernest Verdeyen got control of the ball when Fred Tilens tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fred Tilens's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ernest Verdeyen firmly grabbed it by the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcus Coekx during the 77th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Steffe Van Dessen kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ernest Verdeyen. That made the score 1-2 in the 81 minute of play. Lars Limpens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dre Van Achten in the 85th minute of play. In the 85th minute Arthur Loots suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maxime Schautens during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ernest Verdeyen was out of position in the 92 minute of play, and Pierre-Paul Van Hautvinck capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Pierre-Paul Van Hautvinck really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. The AFC Luchteren fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC Mohamed were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
