SK Erquennes's Cornelis Van Eijcke got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 4 minutes into the match, SK Erwetegem's goal looked a bit too open when Tom Van Buyten came free, but Frank Lanphant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th minute of the match Edmond Van Dessen sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Frank Lanphant skillfully saved the ball. Karel Van Den Wijngaert hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Cornelis Van Eijcke scored 0-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Frank Lanphant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Cornelis Van Eijcke sped through SK Erwetegem's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Frank Lanphant. 25 minutes into the match, SK Erwetegem's goal looked a bit too open when Tom Van Buyten came free, but Frank Lanphant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Jeffery Reijniers got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Frank Lanphant quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Jannes Stoffels's late challenge caught a SK Erquennes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jannes Stoffels helped the player get up and apologised. After a defensive mix-up in SK Erquennes's zone, Jannes Stoffels stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel De Graef came out of the goal and Jannes Stoffels tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Filip Sas fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SK Erquennes's protests and gave Filip Sas a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, SK Erquennes's Filip Sas got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 37th match minute, SK Erquennes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tommi Vloeberghs to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Karel Van Den Wijngaert in the 38th minute really tested Manuel De Graef's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 40th minute of the match Filip Sas shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Frank Lanphant showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 41 played minutes SK Erwetegem got a freekick which was hit by Alphonse Van der Loock. Manuel De Graef came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by SK Erwetegem's Fred Struelens. But to his dismay, Fred Struelens quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 47th minute, Tom Van Buyten got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cornelis Van Eijcke to strike the kick off in the second half. Jannes Stoffels fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel De Graef having to interfere. A hard shot 55 in the game by Tom Van Buyten from a close distance when the talented Frank Lanphant managed to make a qualified save. SK Erwetegem's players were relieved. In the 56th minute, Jannes Stoffels made a precise shot to the right of Manuel De Graef. SK Erquennes's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. After a rather tough play, SK Erwetegem's Henri-Patrick Verdun got a free kick in the 60th minute. If Edward Vereeken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manuel De Graef showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jannes Stoffels, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. 76 minutes into the match, SK Erquennes's goal looked a bit too open when Jannes Stoffels came free, but Manuel De Graef reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 77 played minutes SK Erquennes got a freekick which was hit by Jeffery Reijniers. Karel Van Den Wijngaert took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 78th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Manuel De Graef. SK Erquennes's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After having played for 80 minutes, Jannes Stoffels managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SK Erwetegem's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jannes Stoffels was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 87 minutes into the match, SK Erwetegem's goal looked a bit too open when Cornelis Van Eijcke came free, but Frank Lanphant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henri-Patrick Verdun in the 91st minute of play forced SK Erquennes's goalkeeper Manuel De Graef to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jannes Stoffels sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SK Erwetegem were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
