Senior Citizens RC's Viktor Van Herendael suffered a concussion in the 10th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. In the 11th match minute, AFC Kerselaar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Constantijn Heremans to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in AFC Kerselaar's zone, Maurice Van Damme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reinaud Van Linthaut came out of the goal and Maurice Van Damme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yelle Van Gestelt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Camiel Callaerts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Maurice Van Damme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd match minute, AFC Kerselaar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mario Wolfs to maneuver through the defense. 35 minutes into the match, Senior Citizens RC's goalkeeper Camiel Callaerts had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roben Lambrechts. Senior Citizens RC's Camiel Callaerts proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Senior Citizens RC from getting a goal against them. Yelle Van Gestelt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reinaud Van Linthaut took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurice Van Damme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yelle Van Gestelt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camiel Callaerts having to interfere. After having played for 47 minutes, Roben Lambrechts managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AFC Kerselaar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roben Lambrechts was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Yelle Van Gestelt was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Senior Citizens RC defense, Roben Lambrechts kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Camiel Callaerts. The Senior Citizens RC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Camiel Callaerts should have stopped the shot. Camiel Callaerts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yelle Van Gestelt in the 56th minute of the match. After having played for 60 minutes, Yelle Van Gestelt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AFC Kerselaar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yelle Van Gestelt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Yelle Van Gestelt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th play minute Maurice Van Damme came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Reinaud Van Linthaut. 1-1. In the 68th match minute, Senior Citizens RC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charles-Antoine Gysens to maneuver through the defense. 71 minutes into the game, AFC Kerselaar's Roben Lambrechts nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Camiel Callaerts made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. If Yelle Van Gestelt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Camiel Callaerts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roben Lambrechts, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Yelle Van Gestelt might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Camiel Callaerts. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Yelle Van Gestelt ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 85th minute, Yelle Van Gestelt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Roben Lambrechts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Senior Citizens RC's Camiel Callaerts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yelle Van Gestelt in the 88th minute of play. If Roben Lambrechts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 90 played minutes Senior Citizens RC got a freekick which was hit by Reinaert Van Langendonckx. Roben Lambrechts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
