Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Ramon Goddez started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After 4 played minutes, AFC Nivelles's Robbe Gijselinckx shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jim Meersman came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in AFC Nivelles reached it. When Andris Feys fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AFC Nivelles's protests and gave Andris Feys a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Moerdijk booed when AFC Nivelles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andris Feys didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kim Thielens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norbert Blanchaert having to interfere. Kim Thielens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ramon Goddez got in the 24th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Jim Meersman handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. In the 30th minute, Brent Vrins made a precise shot to the right of Jim Meersman. Moerdijk's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Matijs Worteleers's late challenge caught a AFC Nivelles's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Matijs Worteleers helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Moerdijk's Joachim Oosters got a free kick in the 47th minute. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Richy Bosmans stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Richy Bosmans put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Norbert Blanchaert. Richy Bosmans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norbert Blanchaert having to interfere. During the 67th minute of the match Andris Feys completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Andris Feys a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Andris Feys kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Richy Bosmans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Norbert Blanchaert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ramon Goddez hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. 79 minutes into the match, AFC Nivelles's goal looked a bit too open when Kim Thielens came free, but Norbert Blanchaert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute Kim Thielens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norbert Blanchaert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Albertus Smidts kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Josef Rummens, 88 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 93 minutes into the game, one of AFC Nivelles:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. AFC Nivelles played a much better game than Moerdijk and deserved their victory. The Moerdijk players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
