Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Staf Reuters started the match with the kick off. Louis-Philippe Van De Velden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Frederick Deswarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Thildonk's Staf Reuters slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Joos Van Severen. That made the score 1-0 after 9 minutes of play. Joos Van Severen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Staf Reuters, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. After 14 played minutes Thildonk got a freekick which was hit by Ernst Klijnhens. Louis-Philippe Van De Velden recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Louis-Philippe Van De Velden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frederick Deswarte having to interfere. Alster's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Staf Reuters 30 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-0. Ferdinand Wollans's late challenge caught a Alster's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ferdinand Wollans helped the player get up and apologised. After 35 played minutes Thildonk got a freekick which was hit by Ferdinand Wollans. An unexpectedly hard shot by Louis-Philippe Van De Velden in the 37th minute of play forced Thildonk's goalkeeper Frederick Deswarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thildonk's Staf Reuters got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 43 minutes, Staf Reuters managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Thildonk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Staf Reuters was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Vic De Kerper had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ferdinand Wollans got his second yellow card in the match during the 47th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Thildonk's Ferdinand Wollans got a free kick in the 48th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Louis-Philippe Van De Velden in the 50th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Frederick Deswarte prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The wind increased when Louis-Philippe Van De Velden made the kick off in the second half. Vic De Kerper received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Joos Van Severen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alster's Joos Van Severen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manu Justus in the 71st minute of play. A collision led to Thildonk getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Ernst Klijnhens hit a great ball. In the 80th minute Vic De Kerper shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joos Van Severen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee ignored Thildonk's protests and gave Ernst Klijnhens a yellow card for diving instead. Louis-Philippe Van De Veldens short, quick shot in the 88thth minute got Frederick Deswarte to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After having played for 92 minutes, Staf Reuters managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
