After 31 minutes of play, VC Perwez's Paul Heirpoel made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Brent-Jan Vanden Berghe was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 42nd minute, Wesly Wolfdoncx made a precise shot to the right of Brent-Jan Vanden Berghe. Tremelo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paul Heirpoel was the one to do the kick off. Brent-Jan Vanden Berghe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paul Heirpoel, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Wesly Wolfdoncx managed to get in a good position for a shot. VC Perwez's supporters rose to their feet, but Wesly Wolfdoncx was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brent-Jan Vanden Berghe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Paul Heirpoel came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the VC Perwez fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paul Heirpoel couldn't finish the play. Paul Heirpoel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wesly Wolfdoncx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 68 minutes, Billie Van Den Brande mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the VC Perwez and the Tremelo players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 68 played minutes VC Perwez got a freekick which was hit by Billie Van Den Brande. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Koen Sproten put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Jannick Van der Willeghem. Cederic Rijniers's late challenge caught a VC Perwez's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cederic Rijniers helped the player get up and apologised. 1-4 came through a penalty shot after 74 played minutes, when VC Perwez:s Adolphe Conincx calmly waited for Tremelo:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. Paul Heirpoel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. VC Perwez's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paul Heirpoel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
