Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Alex Rosbach made the kick off which started today's match. The supporters of Petegem booed when Wolvendaal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xander Roulin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lucas Bernardts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 8 minutes, Dimitri De Messemaeckre mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wolvendaal and the Petegem players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 8th minute, Dimitri De Messemaeckre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Wolvendaal's Jasper Beckers got control of the ball when Alex Rosbach tried to sneak it across the goal line. Wolvendaal's defense didn't have a chance, in the 9th minute, when Alex Rosbach scored to the left of an out of position Jasper Beckers, making the score, 1-0. In the 13th minute, Alex Rosbach reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jasper Beckers. The goal made the score 2-0. In the 18th minute, Steffen De Spiegeleire left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Wolvendaal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Julien Gebuers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steffen De Spiegeleire in the 21st minute of the match. Steve Maes kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. After 25 played minutes Petegem got a freekick which was hit by Alex Rosbach. Alex Rosbach struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Jasper Beckers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Petegem. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Alexandre Roockeloes put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Julien Gebuers. After 34th play minutes Steffen De Spiegeleire shot 2-3, a short shot which went by Julien Gebuers and just under the crossbar into goal. Steffen De Spiegeleire struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Julien Gebuers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wolvendaal. After some careless play in the Petegem defense, Steffen De Spiegeleire kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julien Gebuers. The Petegem fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julien Gebuers should have stopped the shot. Joeri Schol kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Steffen De Spiegeleire to make the kick off. Steffen De Spiegeleire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julien Gebuers having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Patrik deconinck during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 56 minutes into the match, Petegem's goal looked a bit too open when Steffen De Spiegeleire came free, but Julien Gebuers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58thth minute of the game Steffen De Spiegeleire who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Petegem's Julien Gebuers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alex Rosbach in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jasper Beckers saved Wolvendaal from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Rosbach in the 62nd minute of play forced Wolvendaal's goalkeeper Jasper Beckers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute, Jean-Louis Valckeners fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Steffen De Spiegeleire received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Julien Gebuers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Jean-Louis Valckeners managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wolvendaal's supporters rose to their feet, but Jean-Louis Valckeners was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julien Gebuers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 75 minutes into the game, Luc Morreels was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wolvendaal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Petegem the free kick. After 75 played minutes Wolvendaal got a freekick which was hit by Luc Morreels. Jean-Louis Valckeners's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 83rdth minute, Julien Gebuers skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A collision led to Wolvendaal getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Christian Blocks hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Wolvendaal defense, Matijs Van Clijnebreugel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jasper Beckers. The Wolvendaal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jasper Beckers should have stopped the shot.
