Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Andrew Hylen got the match started through his kick off. In the 4th minute, Ronald Van der Roost reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Julien Gebuers. The goal made the score 1-0. Andrew Hylen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andrew Hylen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julien Gebuers having to interfere. In the 19th minute Alex Rosbach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jim Gillekens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Rosbach in the 28th minute of play forced Gallaix's goalkeeper Jim Gillekens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Steve Maes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jim Gillekens having to interfere. Jim Gillekens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Rosbach, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 35 minutes into the match, Lucas Bernardts had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jim Gillekens. Gallaix's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lucas Bernardts was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alex Rosbach stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Gallaix's Jannis Van Hoeyvelt got a free kick in the 57th minute. After 58 minutes of play, Petegem's Lucas Bernardts made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jim Gillekens was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jim Gillekens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Rosbach, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 67th minute, Stijn Pelsers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 68 played minutes, Petegem's Matijs Van Clijnebreugel shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jim Gillekens came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Petegem reached it. After a defensive mix-up in Gallaix's zone, Lucas Bernardts stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jim Gillekens came out of the goal and Lucas Bernardts tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Rosbach in the 72nd minute of play forced Gallaix's goalkeeper Jim Gillekens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Petegem's zone, Ronald Van der Roost stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julien Gebuers came out of the goal and Ronald Van der Roost tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 77 minutes, Andrew Hylen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gallaix's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andrew Hylen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 79th minute, Lucas Bernardts ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jim Gillekens was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. Petegem's Alex Rosbach got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lucas Bernardts spun around in front of the goal 85 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Gallaix's goal. If Andrew Hylen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded Petegem left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Gallaix.
