Guillaume Van den Plas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sean De Hooge having to interfere. In the 16th minute, Senne Snoekens got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Terheide booed when RSC Lokeren was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johnny Sliepers didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jacq Leenpoelss short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got Sean De Hooge to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Wes Dechamps struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Antoine Godefroid didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RSC Lokeren. In the 28thth minute of the game Geoffry Claevers who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Terheide's Antoine Godefroid was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Terheide's Guillaume Van den Plas got his second yellow card of the match in the 30th minute. The referee ordered Guillaume Van den Plas off the ground. The supporters of RSC Lokeren booed when Terheide was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillaume Van den Plas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 46 minutes, Jacq Leenpoels managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Terheide's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacq Leenpoels was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Geoffry Claevers to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Jacq Leenpoels got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Terheide's Antoine Godefroid got control of the ball when Wes Dechamps tried to sneak it across the goal line. Wes Dechamps received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Antoine Godefroid tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 60 minutes into the match, Terheide's goalkeeper Antoine Godefroid had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wes Dechamps. When Wes Dechamps came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the RSC Lokeren fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wes Dechamps couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as RSC Lokeren's Geoffry Claevers slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Antoine Godefroid. That made the score 0-1 after 66 minutes of play. Antoine Godefroid made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wes Dechamps in the 70th minute. Roben Van Gorp's shot from long distance in the 72nd minute was not bad at all, but Terheide's Antoine Godefroid knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. In the 73rd match minute, Terheide was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amaury Rijmenams to maneuver through the defense. Amaury Rijmenams might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sean De Hooge. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Amaury Rijmenams ran back to his position shaking his head. Geoffry Claevers blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Antoine Godefroid having to make a save. Jacq Leenpoels received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Sean De Hooge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wes Dechamps scored 0-2 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Antoine Godefroid, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Wes Dechamps received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Antoine Godefroid tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th minute Geoffry Claevers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antoine Godefroid saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. RSC Lokeren's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
