After 19 played minutes Zuiddamme got a freekick which was hit by Dimitri Mesmakers. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 22nd minute of the game. One of AÇO:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Zuiddamme:s goal. Sylvan Vergouwen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 32nd minute, Rocky Vrins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rocky Vuerinckx took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Frederic De Keuster. Frederic De Keuster dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Viktor Vansteenbrugge got free with Timy De Witte in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Viktor Vansteenbrugge struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Timy De Witte didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AÇO. After the first half Zuiddamme were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Viktor Vansteenbrugge to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viktor Vansteenbrugge in the 55th minute of play forced Zuiddamme's goalkeeper Timy De Witte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Brent Soetemans had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Timy De Witte. Zuiddamme's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Brent Soetemans was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Sylvan Vergouwen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Timy De Witte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to AÇO getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Rocky Vrins hit a great ball. In the 75th minute, Jacobus Van Adorp got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Fred Ravoet came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Zuiddamme fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fred Ravoet couldn't finish the play. 84 minutes into the match, AÇO's goalkeeper Frederic De Keuster had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fred Ravoet. A collision led to AÇO getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Arnaud Leenpoels hit a great ball. A collision led to Zuiddamme getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Timy De Witte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viktor Vansteenbrugge, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Zuiddamme's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
