Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Alfons Kerkhove kicked off to start the match. If Perry Snyers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roderik Koppens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfons Kerkhove, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 10th minute, Robbrecht Van Craen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Robbrecht Van Craen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roderik Koppens having to interfere. RS oostnieuwkerke's Alfons Kerkhove got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maurice Godts recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 26 played minutes RS oostnieuwkerke got a freekick which was hit by Karel-Jan Van Langhendoncx. Perry Snyers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Maurus Koppens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurice Godts in the 30th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, KFC Leopoldsburg's goal looked a bit too open when Alfons Kerkhove came free, but Roderik Koppens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robbrecht Van Craen got free with Roderik Koppens in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 35th minute Maurice Godts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurus Koppens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 44 minutes into the match, Robbrecht Van Craen notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of KFC Leopoldsburg's Roderik Koppens. Roderik Koppens was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maurice Godts to make the kick off. Alfons Kerkhove received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Roderik Koppens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 58 minutes, Reinaud De kaiser mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KFC Leopoldsburg and the RS oostnieuwkerke players grew even worse after the yellow card. Reinaud De kaiser kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the match, Alfons Kerkhove had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Roderik Koppens. KFC Leopoldsburg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfons Kerkhove was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Robbrecht Van Craen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Roderik Koppens having to make a save. In the 68th match minute, KFC Leopoldsburg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Izak Valckenaers to maneuver through the defense. After 71 minutes, Alfons Kerkhove made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. KFC Leopoldsburg's Roderik Koppens tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Perry Snyers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurus Koppens having to interfere. After a rather tough play, KFC Leopoldsburg's Izak Valckenaers got a free kick in the 79th minute. If Alfons Kerkhove had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87thth minute of the game Maurice Godts who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but RS oostnieuwkerke's Maurus Koppens was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Maurus Koppens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurice Godts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of RS oostnieuwkerke booed when KFC Leopoldsburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Izak Valckenaers didn't get a good kick on the ball.
