Jerry Gyselinckx recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aime Volckaerts during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Jerry Gyselinckx made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramon Vrancx in the 51st minute of play forced RACING BRUSSELS's goalkeeper Steve Pelleman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kristiaan Van Houdtvinck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Manu Goemyne took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Kenn Martens to make any attempt to save it. After having played for 62 minutes, Kristiaan Van Houdtvinck managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RACING BRUSSELS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kristiaan Van Houdtvinck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 65thth minute of the game Wesly Van Cleynenbreugel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but RACING BRUSSELS's Steve Pelleman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Wesly Van Cleynenbreugel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd minute, Camiel Vuerinx hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 96th minute, Ramon Vrancx got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The RACING BRUSSELS players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
