Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Pierre-Olivier Degryse started the match with the kick off. After 3 minutes of play, De Fenix boys's Pierre-Olivier Degryse made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Guust van Eijnde was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 7th match minute, De Fenix boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruud Helsen to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of De Fenix boys booed when AFC Pijnegem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jimmy Devriendt didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Fernand de Pelsmaker's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guust van Eijnde was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. During the 30th minute of the match Jimmy Devriendt completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Jimmy Devriendt a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to AFC Pijnegem getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Jimmy Devriendt hit a great ball. De Fenix boys's Diederik Van Maestricht couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for AFC Pijnegem. After 38 played minutes AFC Pijnegem got a freekick which was hit by Jannis Renso. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jannis Renso during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to AFC Pijnegem getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Jannis Renso hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in AFC Pijnegem's zone, Pierre-Olivier Degryse stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guust van Eijnde came out of the goal and Pierre-Olivier Degryse tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 47 minutes, Pierre-Olivier Degryse managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. De Fenix boys's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pierre-Olivier Degryse was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jef Abrams to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52ndth minute of the game Pierre-Olivier Degryse who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AFC Pijnegem's Guust van Eijnde was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 53rd minute, Tijs De Cock hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Fernand de Pelsmaker came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the De Fenix boys fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernand de Pelsmaker couldn't finish the play. Guust van Eijnde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pierre-Olivier Degryse, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Jef Abrams struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Billie Van der Roost didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AFC Pijnegem. The supporters of De Fenix boys booed when AFC Pijnegem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tijs De Cock didn't get a good kick on the ball. The corner led De Fenix boys's Diederik Van Maestricht to fire away a dangerous shot which Guust van Eijnde despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 71 minutes into the game, Tijs De Cock was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AFC Pijnegem's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave De Fenix boys the free kick. After 71 played minutes AFC Pijnegem got a freekick which was hit by Tijs De Cock. Guust van Eijnde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pierre-Olivier Degryse in the 72nd minute of the match. AFC Pijnegem's Guust van Eijnde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernand de Pelsmaker in the 75th minute of play. In the 79th minute, Pierre-Olivier Degryse hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jef Abrams sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Ruud Helsen fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored De Fenix boys's protests and gave Ruud Helsen a yellow card for diving instead. Ruud Helsen kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Jannis Renso struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Billie Van der Roost didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AFC Pijnegem. Billie Van der Roost made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Jef Abrams sent off a good shot on target. Guust van Eijnde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pierre-Olivier Degryse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. AFC Pijnegem's Jef Abrams got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, AFC Pijnegem's Tijs De Cock got a free kick in the 95th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The De Fenix boys fans cheered their team off the field, for while AFC Pijnegem had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
