After 17 played minutes, rc reppel's Gregory De Ryck shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bruno Thielens came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in rc reppel reached it. Tijs Montens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Bruno Thielens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Pierre-Paul Coekelbergh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute, Pierre-Paul Coekelbergh made a precise shot to the right of Bernt Van Hallebeeck. rc reppel's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Tijs Montens managed to get in a good position for a shot. rc reppel's supporters rose to their feet, but Tijs Montens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bruno Thielens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pierre-Paul Coekelbergh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernt Van Hallebeeck having to interfere. After having played for 44 minutes, Kristen De Peuter managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Eegem's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kristen De Peuter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kristen De Peuter made a kick off. Bernt Van Hallebeeck came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Eegem's Pierre-Paul Coekelbergh. But to his dismay, Pierre-Paul Coekelbergh quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 59th minute rc reppel were awarded a corner. Mats De Kelper went to the cornerflag to take it. Mats De Kelper made a great header on rc reppel's corner, it was just that Eegem's Bruno Thielens managed to reach the ball for a save. If Pierre-Paul Coekelbergh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kristen De Peuter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Bernt Van Hallebeeck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, rc reppel's Ronald Vanden Driessche got a free kick in the 68th minute. When Pierre-Paul Coekelbergh came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Eegem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pierre-Paul Coekelbergh couldn't finish the play. If Kristiaan Justus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute, Kristiaan Justus made a precise shot to the right of Bruno Thielens. Eegem's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Eegem had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
