Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Kris Philippaerts made the kick off which started today's match. 4 minutes into the match, Herbesthal's goalkeeper Charles-Louis Van Der Straeten had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Noel Verheijt. In the 7th match minute, KAA Wanze was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kris Philippaerts to maneuver through the defense. Charles-Louis Van Der Straeten stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kris Philippaerts's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. Noel Verheijt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 11th minute of the game. One of Herbesthal:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of KAA Wanze:s goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kris Philippaerts in the 19th minute of play forced Herbesthal's goalkeeper Charles-Louis Van Der Straeten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Herbesthal booed when KAA Wanze was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dimitry Vincx didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in KAA Wanze's zone, Enzo Minnen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorg Degens came out of the goal and Enzo Minnen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to KAA Wanze getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Tibaut Van Den Haecke hit a great ball. Lode Nijs, 29 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Enzo Minnen struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Jorg Degens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Herbesthal. If Noel Verheijt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Charles-Louis Van Der Straeten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kris Philippaerts, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 41st minute, Herbesthal's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Noel Verheijt fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Noel Verheijt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Enzo Minnen made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Noel Verheijt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Charles-Louis Van Der Straeten was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. KAA Wanze's Kris Philippaerts got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Noel Verheijt in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Charles-Louis Van Der Straeten saved Herbesthal from getting behind. In the 57th minute, Kris Philippaerts got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kris Philippaerts scored 2-0 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Charles-Louis Van Der Straeten, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 64 minutes, Noel Verheijt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KAA Wanze's supporters crossed their fingers, but Noel Verheijt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Noel Verheijt managed to get in a good position for a shot. KAA Wanze's supporters rose to their feet, but Noel Verheijt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Charles-Louis Van Der Straeten breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Charles-Louis Van Der Straeten stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kris Philippaerts's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. Charles-Louis Van Der Straeten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Noel Verheijt in the 70th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Noel Verheijt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Charles-Louis Van Der Straeten was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Kris Philippaerts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Charles-Louis Van Der Straeten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 80thth minute of the game Kris Philippaerts who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Herbesthal's Charles-Louis Van Der Straeten was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Camiel Haeselaers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Kris Philippaerts put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Charles-Louis Van Der Straeten. The audience was convinced that Noel Verheijt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Charles-Louis Van Der Straeten was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. Jorg Degens was out of position in the 97 minute of play, and Enzo Minnen capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Enzo Minnen really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. When the referee ended the match the KAA Wanze players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
