Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Enzo Minnen started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Herbesthal's Charles Standaerts got a free kick in the 3rd minute. After recieving a nice pass, Waasbeek's Tristan Wegers tried to score from far away in the 4th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Maurus Van Langendonckx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tom De Vadder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Charles-Louis Van Der Straeten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Maurus Van Langendonckx came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Waasbeek fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maurus Van Langendonckx couldn't finish the play. Tom De Vadder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 23 played minutes Herbesthal got a freekick which was hit by Lode Nijs. With a little luck, Herbesthal's Charles-Louis Van Der Straeten got control of the ball when Tom De Vadder tried to sneak it across the goal line. 29 minutes into the game, Herbesthal's Enzo Minnen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Garry Verbeeck made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Garry Verbeeck stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Enzo Minnen's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. After 38 minutes Waasbeek's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Lode Nijs who took care of the corner kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Maurus Van Langendonckx was the one to do the kick off. Camiel Haeselaers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Garry Verbeeck having to interfere. Charles Standaerts hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 58th minute of the match Tristan Wegers sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Charles-Louis Van Der Straeten skillfully saved the ball. Maurus Van Langendonckx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Charles-Louis Van Der Straeten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Waasbeek's Tristan Wegers couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Herbesthal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurus Van Langendonckx in the 66th minute of play forced Herbesthal's goalkeeper Charles-Louis Van Der Straeten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frits Petermans was shown his second yellow card after 66 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. 69 minutes into the match, Camiel Haeselaers had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Garry Verbeeck. Waasbeek's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Camiel Haeselaers was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. In the 77th minute Maurus Van Langendonckx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charles-Louis Van Der Straeten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Charles-Louis Van Der Straeten stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tom De Vadder's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. In the 93rd minute Tom De Vadder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charles-Louis Van Der Straeten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Herbesthal walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
