An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidoor Damman in the 4th minute of play forced KV Musson's goalkeeper Brian Sommers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. KV Musson's Manuel Vrolijcx got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 8th minute, Mathias Roscams hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dreas Jonckers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Brian Sommers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Klaus Goens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the KV Musson defense, Isidoor Damman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Brian Sommers. The KV Musson fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Brian Sommers should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Dreas Jonckers put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Brian Sommers. In the 24th play minute Manuel Vrolijcx came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised George Vrints. 1-2. Dreas Jonckers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brian Sommers having to interfere. In the 37th play minute Manuel Vrolijcx came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised George Vrints. 2-3. If Klaus Goens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With splendid footwork Manuel Vrolijcx arrived in front of goal to shoot 3-3 by the left pole in the game's 44th minute. After having played for 48 minutes, Dreas Jonckers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Evergem's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dreas Jonckers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 3-3 after a close first half.

After 52 minutes, Siebe Van Beets mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Evergem and the KV Musson players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Evergem getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Siebe Van Beets hit a great ball. In the 54th minute, Klaus Goens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lucas Delcroix kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. After 61 minutes, Dreas Jonckers mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Evergem and the KV Musson players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of KV Musson booed when Evergem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dreas Jonckers didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd match minute, KV Musson was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaspar Van De Velden to maneuver through the defense. If Manuel Vrolijcx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 74th minute, Manuel Vrolijcx made a precise shot to the right of George Vrints. Evergem's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-3. Evergem's Dreas Jonckers got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 85 minutes into the match, Dreas Jonckers notched a goal, 4-4, to the right of KV Musson's Brian Sommers. Brian Sommers was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Manuel Vrolijcx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
