Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Wayne de Vleeschouwer made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 3rd minute, Purple Chanseys's Rik Ottevaere seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Rik Ottevaere the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Purple Chanseys protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Rik Ottevaere had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 2nd minute of the game. One of Purple Chanseys:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Evergem:s goal. 5 minutes into the game, Evergem's Gust Van Lier nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mattheo Vercammen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The audience was convinced that Frits Gramet's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but George Vrints was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. George Vrints took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frits Gramet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th minute of the match Wayne de Vleeschouwer sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but George Vrints skillfully saved the ball. Mattheo Vercammen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucas Delcroix in the 14th minute. Lucas Delcroix kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. If Frits Gramet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 26 minutes, Izak De Fauw managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Purple Chanseys's supporters crossed their fingers, but Izak De Fauw was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Evergem defense, Frits Gramet kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of George Vrints. The Evergem fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that George Vrints should have stopped the shot. When Frits Gramet came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Purple Chanseys fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frits Gramet couldn't finish the play. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Evergem's goalkeeper George Vrints, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Frits Gramet scored 2-2 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of George Vrints, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Isidoor Damman made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Purple Chanseys booed when Evergem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Siebe Van Beets didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frits Gramet didn't have the luck on his side when he, from a short distance, got a opportunity for a shot on goal in the 52nd minute. The shot missed the goal on the right side and Frits Gramet ran dejectedly back to his position. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Izak De Fauw managed to get in a good position for a shot. Purple Chanseys's supporters rose to their feet, but Izak De Fauw was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. George Vrints breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 57th minute, Lucas Delcroix had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. The supporters of Evergem booed when Purple Chanseys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yanis de Pelsmaeker didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th minute of the match Gust Van Lier shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mattheo Vercammen showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Dreas Jonckers's late challenge caught a Purple Chanseys's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dreas Jonckers helped the player get up and apologised. Dreas Jonckers hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. George Vrints made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frits Gramet in the 66th minute of play. Mattheo Vercammen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidoor Damman, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. 69 minutes into the match, Purple Chanseys's goal looked a bit too open when Steffen Cortens came free, but Mattheo Vercammen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Purple Chanseys's Frits Gramet got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 74th minute, Yanis de Pelsmaeker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mattheo Vercammen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dreas Jonckers in the 75th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Dreas Jonckers notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Purple Chanseys's Mattheo Vercammen. Mattheo Vercammen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Evergem's zone, Frits Gramet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. George Vrints came out of the goal and Frits Gramet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yanis de Pelsmaeker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. George Vrints made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frits Gramet in the 92nd minute of play. In the 96th match minute, Purple Chanseys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frits Gramet to maneuver through the defense.
