A very good chance. 14 minutes into the match, KSV Chiny's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Vrolijcx came free, but Adolphe van Hacht reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Manuel Vrolijcx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jos Raeymakers hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Hendrik Klijnhens struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Brian Sommers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KSV Chiny. In the 26th minute Klaus Goens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adolphe van Hacht saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Reinaud Van Meensel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Emile Bal fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KV Musson's protests and gave Emile Bal a yellow card for diving instead. KSV Chiny's Reinaud Van Meensel got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. KV Musson's Emile Bal got his second yellow card of the match in the 36th minute. The referee ordered Emile Bal off the ground. Brian Sommers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reinaud Van Meensel in the 43rd minute of the match. Hendrik Klijnhens could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Brian Sommers made a huge save. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Reinaud Van Meensel made the kick off in the second half. Jos Raeymakers charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jos Raeymakers the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Reinaud Van Meensel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brian Sommers having to interfere. If Hendrik Klijnhens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of KSV Chiny booed when KV Musson was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matty Hollandts didn't get a good kick on the ball.
