Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Bernt Devaux made the kick off which started today's match. If Herman Pelsers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 5 minutes into the match, Westbeke's goal looked a bit too open when Herman Pelsers came free, but Patrick De Koning reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernt Devaux took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Patrick De Koning. Patrick De Koning dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Patrick De Koning made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herman Pelsers in the 14th minute of play. Robbrecht Hoes scored 0-2 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Patrick De Koning, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in VC Denderleeuw's zone, Viktor Verhengen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexandre De Keijsere came out of the goal and Viktor Verhengen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 28th minute, Viktor Verhengen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute, Viktor Verhengen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alexandre De Keijsere was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Herman Pelsers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Patrick De Koning tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 36 minutes into the match, Bernt Devaux had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Patrick De Koning. Westbeke's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bernt Devaux was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. When the match clock showed 40 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Bernt Devaux sped through Westbeke's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Patrick De Koning. Patrick De Koning came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by VC Denderleeuw's Herman Pelsers. But to his dismay, Herman Pelsers quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Raf Quinet to make the kick off. Patrick De Koning was out of position in the 52 minute of play, and Bernt Devaux capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bernt Devaux really showed his touch with that goal: 1-6. The supporters of VC Denderleeuw booed when Westbeke was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frederik Minnen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Westbeke's Patrick De Koning proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Westbeke from getting a goal against them. When Robbrecht Hoes fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored VC Denderleeuw's protests and gave Robbrecht Hoes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 79th match minute, VC Denderleeuw was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robbrecht Hoes to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raf Quinet in the 80th minute of play forced VC Denderleeuw's goalkeeper Alexandre De Keijsere to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 90 minutes into the game, VC Denderleeuw's Herman Pelsers nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Patrick De Koning made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-8. Patrick De Koning made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Herman Pelsers sent off a good shot on target. 95 minutes into the match, Raf Quinet had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alexandre De Keijsere. VC Denderleeuw's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Raf Quinet was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-8. VC Denderleeuw's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
