Edmond Kint made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dre Van Leemputte in the 5th minute of play. The supporters of KV Moerbeke booed when Club Zwalm was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Josef Colpaert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roel Cuelens was extremely unlucky when he, in the 13th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After a rather tough play, KV Moerbeke's Sammy Simons got a free kick in the 17th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Club Zwalm's goalkeeper Pascal Van De Wiele had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlos Van Gorpt. After 21 played minutes KV Moerbeke got a freekick which was hit by Sammy Simons. Club Zwalm's Thierry De Kijser got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 27 minutes into the game, Dre Van Leemputte cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Edmond Kint was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Roel Cuelens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edmond Kint took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dre Van Leemputte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Dre Van Leemputte's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edmond Kint was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. Sammy Simons's late challenge caught a Club Zwalm's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dre Van Leemputte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Edmond Kint tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Club Zwalm's zone, Carlos Van Gorpt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pascal Van De Wiele came out of the goal and Carlos Van Gorpt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Kurt Reynaerts fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Zwalm's protests and gave Kurt Reynaerts a yellow card for diving instead. After 60 played minutes Club Zwalm got a freekick which was hit by Kurt Reynaerts. Pascal Van De Wiele showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Van Gorpt in the 63rd minute of the match. Pascal Van De Wiele showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roel Cuelens, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. After having played for 69 minutes, Thierry De Kijser managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Zwalm's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thierry De Kijser was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 71 minutes into the match, KV Moerbeke's Carlos Van Gorpt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pascal Van De Wiele narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Club Zwalm's zone, Roel Cuelens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pascal Van De Wiele came out of the goal and Roel Cuelens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kurt Reynaerts hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. 79 minutes into the match, Club Zwalm's goal looked a bit too open when Roel Cuelens came free, but Pascal Van De Wiele reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 83 minutes in the game, Dre Van Leemputte fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Edmond Kint having to interfere. Pascal Van De Wiele showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roel Cuelens, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Club Zwalm were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
