A collision led to Gossii United 1875´ getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Willem Van Acker hit a great ball. If Geert Pancken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Gossii United 1875´'s Bobby Van Eijken got a free kick in the 24th minute. In the 25th minute, Willem Van Acker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 26th minute, Roland Visch sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Gossii United 1875´'s Pieter-Maarten Eijkens didn't even have to move. 32 minutes into the match, Gossii United 1875´'s goalkeeper Pieter-Maarten Eijkens had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Geert Pancken. Geert Claes struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Edmond Van Haeght didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gossii United 1875´. After having played for 39 minutes, Geert Pancken managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AFC Wolfstee's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geert Pancken was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Geert Claes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edmond Van Haeght read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. After 47 minutes, Hans Maerschalck mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AFC Wolfstee and the Gossii United 1875´ players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Benne Decock came up free with the goalie in the 49th minute, the Gossii United 1875´ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benne Decock couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dreas Lissens stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Francis Ingelborgh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pieter-Maarten Eijkens came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by AFC Wolfstee's Dreas Lissens. But to his dismay, Dreas Lissens quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Gossii United 1875´'s Pieter-Maarten Eijkens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geert Pancken in the 66th minute of play. In the 66th minute, Bobby Van Eijken hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pieter-Maarten Eijkens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dreas Lissens in the 68th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Gossii United 1875´'s Joel Lambrechs got a free kick in the 69th minute. Gossii United 1875´'s Pieter-Maarten Eijkens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roland Visch in the 71st minute of play. Dreas Lissens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Pieter-Maarten Eijkens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Geert Pancken received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Pieter-Maarten Eijkens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geert Pancken, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pieter-Maarten Eijkens didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dreas Lissens went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
