Opglabbeek's supporters crossed their fingers, but Willem-Alexander Uijterhoeven was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pieter-Maarten Eijkens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octave Koppens in the 16th minute of the match. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Octave Koppens made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Yves Geeraerts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Opglabbeek's Ricky Rockeloos got a free kick in the 54th minute. Pieter-Maarten Eijkens was a little too slow when Octave Koppens got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 59th minute. The score was now 0-1. Gossii United 1875´'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 65th minute, when Willem-Alexander Uijterhoeven scored to the left of an out of position Pieter-Maarten Eijkens, making the score, 0-2. Opglabbeek's Octave Koppens got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With his leg Pieter-Maarten Eijkens managed to avoid a goal in the 78thth minute, when Opglabbeek's Willem-Alexander Uijterhoeven fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Yves Geeraerts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 87th minute, Octave Koppens got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 93 minutes into the game, Geert Claes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Gunter Vaes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pieter-Maarten Eijkens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octave Koppens in the 96th minute of play. When the match was over Opglabbeek could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Gossii United 1875´ throughout the match.
