AFC Wolfstee's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 21st of the match, Tommy Maerschalckx tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Edmond Van Haeght got in the way and made a wonderful save. Tommy de Reyck's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 41stth minute, Edmond Van Haeght skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 48 minutes into the game, Tommy de Reyck cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tommy Maerschalckx to make the kick off. 59 minutes into the match, AFC Wolfstee's goal looked a bit too open when Tommy Maerschalckx came free, but Edmond Van Haeght reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Geert Pancken's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Frederic De Vlaeminck read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. Diederiek Claes hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Tommy Maerschalckx might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edmond Van Haeght. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched AFC Wolfstee eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
