Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) VC Wateringen's Samuel Van de Zande started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Achilles Goons made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cedric Wigers in the 3rd minute. After a rather tough play, VC Wateringen's Rein Vrancken got a free kick in the 3rd minute. In the 4th minute, Izak De Vaddere got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Izak De Vaddere came free with the goalkeeper in the 7th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Achilles Goons could save by the left post. In the 9th minute Samuel Van de Zande shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrik Englebert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jerry Beeckmans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrik Englebert having to interfere. Samuel Van de Zande received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Patrik Englebert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jerry Beeckmans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. After 19 minutes of play, VC Wateringen's Samuel Van de Zande made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. In the 27thth minute of the game Samuel Van de Zande who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KV Oosterzele's Patrik Englebert was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Jerry Beeckmans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 33 minutes into the game, Kurt Van Impe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. KV Oosterzele's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave VC Wateringen the free kick. After 33 played minutes KV Oosterzele got a freekick which was hit by Kurt Van Impe. After a defensive mix-up in KV Oosterzele's zone, Samuel Van de Zande stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patrik Englebert came out of the goal and Samuel Van de Zande tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Samuel Van de Zande fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrik Englebert having to interfere. Lorenzo Dirickx took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 46th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Achilles Goons. VC Wateringen's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After the first half VC Wateringen were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Patrick Heirpoel made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Izak De Vaddere shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Achilles Goons saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Patrick Heirpoel in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Achilles Goons prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 56 minutes VC Wateringen's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Edgar Bartochowski who took care of the corner kick. After 64 played minutes KV Oosterzele got a freekick which was hit by Piet Koninkx. After a defensive mix-up in KV Oosterzele's zone, Goffrey Van Clijnebreugel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patrik Englebert came out of the goal and Goffrey Van Clijnebreugel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Patrik Englebert was a little too slow when Samuel Van de Zande got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 66th minute. The score was now 0-2. After 80 played minutes KV Oosterzele got a freekick which was hit by Edgar Bartochowski. Izak De Vaddere received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Achilles Goons tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Izak De Vaddere sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. KV Oosterzele's Patrick Heirpoel got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. VC Wateringen had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
