Jarno Vleminx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fabien van Elderen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jarno Vleminx, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Benfica Lisboà's zone, Karel-Jan Fabry stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Felix Teunens came out of the goal and Karel-Jan Fabry tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of KAA Vlasselaar booed when Benfica Lisboà was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teo Shamp didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jacky Segers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Felix Teunens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karel-Jan Fabry, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Karel-Jan Fabry scored 0-1 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Felix Teunens, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Benfica Lisboà players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. KAA Vlasselaar were winning 0-1.

An unexpected shot in the 55th minute by Jacky Segers got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Jacky Segers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felix Teunens having to interfere. 65 minutes into the match, KAA Vlasselaar's goal looked a bit too open when Jarno Vleminx came free, but Fabien van Elderen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Karel-Jan Fabry sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 0-3 became the score in the 70th minute when Karel-Jan Fabry elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The supporters of KAA Vlasselaar booed when Benfica Lisboà was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jarno Vleminx didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jarno Vleminx might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fabien van Elderen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jarno Vleminx ran back to his position shaking his head. Lukas Van Heerle kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Fabien van Elderen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vince Van Geel in the 85th minute of play. Jarno Vleminx's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabien van Elderen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Jarno Vleminx managed to get in a good position for a shot. Benfica Lisboà's supporters rose to their feet, but Jarno Vleminx was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabien van Elderen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vince Van Geel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Fabien van Elderen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
