No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Jeremie Verheijd showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rudy Debock in the 54th minute of the match. 63 minutes into the game, Ferdinand Coussement was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Michelbeke's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Golden Storm the free kick. In the 69th minute Geoffrey Dhondt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lex Kortens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Geoffrey Dhondt in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lex Kortens saved Michelbeke from getting behind. In the 78th match minute, Michelbeke was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robbrecht Capelle to maneuver through the defense. In the 79th minute of the match, Geoffrey Dhondt tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Lex Kortens saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geoffrey Dhondt in the 81st minute of play forced Michelbeke's goalkeeper Lex Kortens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Geoffrey Dhondt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arsene De Lauw in the 86th minute of play forced FC Golden Storm's goalkeeper Jeremie Verheijd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arsene De Lauw took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jeremie Verheijd. Jeremie Verheijd dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. After 90 played minutes, Michelbeke's Leopold De Worteler shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jeremie Verheijd came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Michelbeke reached it. Fred De Middeleer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edmond De Rijck kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Maurus Lyens's late challenge caught a FC Golden Storm's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maurus Lyens helped the player get up and apologised.
