The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Golden Storm fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 7th minute. Penalty! In the 10th minute Sam-Lucas Dirckx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremie Verheijd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sam-Lucas Dirckx's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jeremie Verheijd read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Paul-Louis Van Linthoud sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Camiel Lauwers kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. 18 minutes into the game, FC Golden Storm's Fred De Middeleer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Axel Leemans made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Oud-Turnhout's goalkeeper Axel Leemans, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sam-Lucas Dirckx was the one to do the kick off. Fred De Middeleer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Axel Leemans made a huge save. If Geoffrey Dhondt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Axel Leemans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geoffrey Dhondt in the 62nd minute of play. After having played for 63 minutes, Geoffrey Dhondt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Golden Storm's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geoffrey Dhondt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Geoffrey Dhondt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anthony Servrancx hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Fred De Middeleer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Axel Leemans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Werner Cempeners sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Geoffrey Dhondt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Axel Leemans having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, Oud-Turnhout's goalkeeper Axel Leemans had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fred De Middeleer. Sam-Lucas Dirckx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Jeremie Verheijd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Golden Storm played a much better game than Oud-Turnhout and deserved their victory. The Oud-Turnhout players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
