Lennert Everaerts hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, ANTWERP FC's Leo Van Dock got a free kick in the 22nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Ramon vrolijx managed to get in a good position for a shot. KAA Leffinge's supporters rose to their feet, but Ramon vrolijx was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olivier Jonckers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dennis Cortens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olivier Jonckers having to interfere. When the match clock showed 29 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Ramon vrolijx sped through ANTWERP FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Olivier Jonckers. Olivier Jonckers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dennis Cortens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dennis Cortens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Christoffel Weygaerts kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the game, Dennis Cortens cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Olivier Jonckers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 45 played minutes KAA Leffinge got a freekick which was hit by Pieter Van de Leest. 47 minutes into the match, Johnny Slabbaert sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Rolf Van Der Meren threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Johnny Slabbaert this time. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dennis Cortens to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dennis Cortens in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Olivier Jonckers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dennis Cortens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olivier Jonckers having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Christiaan Rauvoe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Dennis Cortens came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the KAA Leffinge fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dennis Cortens couldn't finish the play. Rolf Van Der Meren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorden Rondas in the 72nd minute of the match. If Ramon vrolijx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olivier Jonckers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dennis Cortens in the 77th minute of play. Jorden Rondas hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in ANTWERP FC's zone, Dennis Cortens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olivier Jonckers came out of the goal and Dennis Cortens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 88th match minute, KAA Leffinge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christoffel Weygaerts to maneuver through the defense. 94 minutes into the match, KAA Leffinge's goal looked a bit too open when Lennert Everaerts came free, but Rolf Van Der Meren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 96th match minute, KAA Leffinge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pieter Van de Leest to maneuver through the defense.
