Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Bill Colebrandts took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 5th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nico Vandeput. AFC Averbode's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 6 played minutes AFC Averbode got a freekick which was hit by Robbie Struijf. With his leg Nico Vandeput managed to avoid a goal in the 8thth minute, when Berkeinde's Evert-Jan Elsens fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 14th minute, Evert-Jan Elsens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 19 minutes into the match, Mickael Vrijdags dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nico Vandeput, 1-0. After 22 played minutes Berkeinde got a freekick which was hit by Jaques Le Lion. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Mickael Vrijdags managed to get in a good position for a shot. Berkeinde's supporters rose to their feet, but Mickael Vrijdags was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nico Vandeput breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Martial Gressens came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by AFC Averbode's Cederik De Potter. But to his dismay, Cederik De Potter quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Augustijn Jannis kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. If Lucas Verengen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mickael Vrijdags made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Lucas Verengen reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Martial Gressens. The goal made the score 1-2. Evert-Jan Elsens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nico Vandeput having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Berkeinde's zone, Lucas Verengen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martial Gressens came out of the goal and Lucas Verengen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cederik De Potter was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 61st minute. AFC Averbode's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 62nd minute, Cederik De Potter ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Martial Gressens was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. After a rather tough play, AFC Averbode's Maurice Leemans got a free kick in the 66th minute. Mickael Vrijdags sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th minute, Augustijn Jannis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bernd Reijers kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Cederik De Potter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Martial Gressens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 85th minute Lucas Verengen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martial Gressens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rafael Schooters charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rafael Schooters the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rafael Schooters hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. When the match was over AFC Averbode could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Berkeinde throughout the match.
