Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jonas Vanderhaege started the match with the kick off. 8 minutes into the match, Knutsegem's goal looked a bit too open when Giovanni Lijsens came free, but Loui Wouters reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonas Vanderhaege received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Basiel De Witte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Knutsegem's Loui Wouters played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remie Aelgoet in the 21st minute of play. If Remie Aelgoet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 29 minutes into the game, one of Knutsegem:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When Axel Heirpoel fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Knutsegem's protests and gave Axel Heirpoel a yellow card for diving instead. In the 33rd match minute, Knutsegem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Axel Heirpoel to maneuver through the defense. Loui Wouters showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giovanni Lijsens in the 36th minute of the match. If Giovanni Lijsens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giovanni Lijsens in the 41st minute of play forced Knutsegem's goalkeeper Loui Wouters to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Remie Aelgoet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
The wind increased when Giovanni Lijsens made the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, Knutsegem's goal looked a bit too open when Giovanni Lijsens came free, but Loui Wouters reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Loui Wouters managed to avoid a goal in the 96thth minute, when FC Westbeke's Remie Aelgoet fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Remie Aelgoet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Knutsegem supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching FC Westbeke's performance. The match ended with a win for FC Westbeke.
