Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) 4 minutes into the match, RSC Moderscheid's goal looked a bit too open when Dominick Van Linthoud came free, but Bertrand Lanckneus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Wout de Pelsmaker kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sven De Raedemaecker. That made the score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. Alek Moerman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sven De Raedemaecker having to make a save. Sven De Raedemaecker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wout de Pelsmaker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th match minute, RSC Moderscheid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mattijs De Custer to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dominick Van Linthoud in the 19th minute of play forced RSC Moderscheid's goalkeeper Bertrand Lanckneus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Henri-Patrick Marrant managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sporting CP's supporters rose to their feet, but Henri-Patrick Marrant was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bertrand Lanckneus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bertrand Lanckneus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dominick Van Linthoud in the 22nd minute of play. If Wout de Pelsmaker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Philip Stuyck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 30 minutes into the match, RSC Moderscheid's goal looked a bit too open when Dominick Van Linthoud came free, but Bertrand Lanckneus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 30 minutes, Diego Schollens mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RSC Moderscheid and the Sporting CP players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to RSC Moderscheid getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Diego Schollens hit a great ball. 39 minutes into the game, Alek Moerman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Sven De Raedemaecker was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 41 played minutes RSC Moderscheid got a freekick which was hit by Diego Schollens. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dominick Van Linthoud to strike the kick off in the second half. Dominick Van Linthoud recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Henri-Patrick Marrant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bertrand Lanckneus was out of position in the 56 minute of play, and Dominick Van Linthoud capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dominick Van Linthoud really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Soren Berckmans who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 64thth minute tested the skills of Bertrand Lanckneus when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 73rd match minute, Sporting CP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Soren Berckmans to maneuver through the defense. In the 74th minute of the match Remco Roekeloos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sven De Raedemaecker showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Alek Moerman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Sven De Raedemaecker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dominick Van Linthoud struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Bertrand Lanckneus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sporting CP. RSC Moderscheid's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Dominick Van Linthoud 86 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-2. If Alek Moerman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
