With his leg Jelle Liebrechts managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when F.C. Patat's Regis Tael fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Benny Dekkers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jelle Liebrechts having to interfere. Regis Tael sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 35 minutes, Ritchie Hendrickx mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the F.C. Patat and the Wendelghem players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to F.C. Patat getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Ritchie Hendrickx hit a great ball. Emanuel Van Acker took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 36th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Henri-Patrick Van Meerbeec. F.C. Patat's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, F.C. Patat's goal looked a bit too open when Joery Machiels came free, but Henri-Patrick Van Meerbeec reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 39 minutes into the game, Qwinten Van Hoyvelt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. F.C. Patat's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wendelghem the free kick. Qwinten Van Hoyvelt kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. The F.C. Patat players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Wendelghem were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anthoon Van Caenegem was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st match minute, F.C. Patat was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sylvan Hombroeckx to maneuver through the defense. In the 52nd minute, Joery Machiels fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Regis Tael had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Henri-Patrick Van Meerbeec took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fredrik Van Achter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 67 minutes into the match, F.C. Patat's goal looked a bit too open when Fredrik Van Achter came free, but Henri-Patrick Van Meerbeec reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Wendelghem eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
