Basiel Fossaert recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Toon Van Huele charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Toon Van Huele the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 5th minute, Toon Van Huele hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 6th minute, Basiel Fossaert ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jerome Baele was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 9th minute, Lucas Vorster hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Christoff Van Den Eynde struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Jerome Baele didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Iendracht.be. After having played for 15 minutes, Sammy Van de Gaer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hemiksem's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sammy Van de Gaer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ferdinand Hylen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sammy Van de Gaer's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Sammy Van de Gaer succeeded in the game's 22nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Christoff Van Den Eynde in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jerome Baele prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Ramon De Maijer came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Hemiksem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ramon De Maijer couldn't finish the play. Iendracht.be's Ferdinand Hylen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sammy Van de Gaer in the 34th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Hemiksem's Toon Van Huele got a free kick in the 35th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sammy Van de Gaer in the 39th minute of play forced Iendracht.be's goalkeeper Ferdinand Hylen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ramon De Maijer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sammy Van de Gaer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Ferdinand Hylen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Christoff Van Den Eynde was the one to do the kick off. Iendracht.be's Basiel Fossaert got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ramon De Maijer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Ferdinand Hylen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ramon De Maijer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferdinand Hylen having to interfere. 77 minutes into the match, Iendracht.be's goal looked a bit too open when Ramon De Maijer came free, but Ferdinand Hylen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, Iendracht.be's Christoff Van Den Eynde sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jerome Baele narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramon De Maijer in the 98th minute of play forced Iendracht.be's goalkeeper Ferdinand Hylen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Hemiksem supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Iendracht.be's performance. The match ended with a win for Iendracht.be.
