Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Vicente Daneels got the match started through his kick off. Vicente Daneels recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joerie Keldermans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Remy Snoekens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of KFC Matersveld booed when RSC Meerhout was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Helsen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 11 minutes of play, KFC Matersveld's Vicente Daneels made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Remy Snoekens was left in no man's land by his defense there! Paul-Louis Maes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Daneels in the 21st minute of play forced RSC Meerhout's goalkeeper Remy Snoekens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Michael Streels made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Frederic Gielis sent off a good shot on target. When Frederic Gielis came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the RSC Meerhout fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frederic Gielis couldn't finish the play. In the 24th match minute, KFC Matersveld was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dries Slaghmeulders to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 26 minutes, Frederic Gielis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RSC Meerhout's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frederic Gielis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paul-Louis Maes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of RSC Meerhout booed when KFC Matersveld was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jimmy Ablij didn't get a good kick on the ball. RSC Meerhout's Remy Snoekens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joerie Keldermans in the 37th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, KFC Matersveld's goal looked a bit too open when Paul-Louis Maes came free, but Michael Streels reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frederic Gielis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Michael Streels tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Paul-Louis Maes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paul-Louis Maes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Vicente Daneels came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the KFC Matersveld fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vicente Daneels couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in RSC Meerhout's zone, Vicente Daneels stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Remy Snoekens came out of the goal and Vicente Daneels tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Michael Streels showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paul-Louis Maes, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 61st minute Frederic Gielis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michael Streels saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rdth minute of the game Paul-Louis Maes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KFC Matersveld's Michael Streels was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Paul-Louis Maes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frederic Gielis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michael Streels having to interfere. KFC Matersveld's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Arnold Van Hespe in the 71st minute. KFC Matersveld's Peter-Jan Raaymakers was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Remy Snoekens in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After having played for 77 minutes, Paul-Louis Maes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RSC Meerhout's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paul-Louis Maes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 80th minute, Paul-Louis Maes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, KFC Matersveld's Remy Van der Veken got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Vicente Daneels struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Remy Snoekens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KFC Matersveld. After a defensive mix-up in KFC Matersveld's zone, Frederic Gielis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Michael Streels came out of the goal and Frederic Gielis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After taking down the ball on RSC Meerhout's corner Ramon Robin fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Michael Streels quite easily take care of the ball. Michael Streels showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paul-Louis Maes, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Frederic Gielis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michael Streels having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. KFC Matersveld had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
