After 9 played minutes Claus Van Eycke rounded KFC Berchem 's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Jim De Wit sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Claus Van Eycke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erik Inglebert having to interfere. Erik Inglebert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claus Van Eycke in the 20th minute of the match. After 20 minutes, Alfred De Kelper mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Binnenheide and the KFC Berchem players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 20th match minute, Binnenheide was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfred De Kelper to maneuver through the defense. Xander-Paul Sommers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steven Render having to interfere. When Arne Huybreghts came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Binnenheide fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arne Huybreghts couldn't finish the play. Claus Van Eycke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Claus Van Eycke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arne Huybreghts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 38th minute, Guillaume Pastijns hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Steven Render showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xander-Paul Sommers in the 46th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Xander-Paul Sommers to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Binnenheide's goal looked a bit too open when Xander-Paul Sommers came free, but Steven Render reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Binnenheide's Claus Van Eycke got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arne Huybreghts in the 58th minute of play forced KFC Berchem 's goalkeeper Erik Inglebert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Binnenheide's Mathias Valckeners got a free kick in the 61st minute. Xander-Paul Sommers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 64 played minutes Binnenheide got a freekick which was hit by Charl Winnepenninck. Steven Render made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jim De Wit in the 67th minute. Jim De Wit received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Steven Render tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claus Van Eycke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erik Inglebert having to interfere. 75 minutes into the match, KFC Berchem 's goal looked a bit too open when Claus Van Eycke came free, but Erik Inglebert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 80 played minutes KFC Berchem got a freekick which was hit by Quentin Winnepenninck. Charl Winnepenninck struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Erik Inglebert didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Binnenheide. Steven Render made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Jim De Wit sent off a good shot on target. Binnenheide's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
