The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Andrew Owerckx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Gijselinkx in the 18th minute of play forced Snikberg's goalkeeper Loid Van Severen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Loid Van Severen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Gijselinkx, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Loid Van Severen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Gijselinkx's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Snikberg's Loid Van Severen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Gijselinkx in the 38th minute of play. Daniel Gijselinkx struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Loid Van Severen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Wielsbeke. The supporters of Snikberg booed when FC Wielsbeke was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nic De Cock didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Miguel Ivens made the kick off in the second half. Peter De Mols short, quick shot in the 53rdth minute got Ruud Fierens to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 58th play minutes Andrew Owerckx shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Loid Van Severen and just under the crossbar into goal. Andrew Owerckx struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Loid Van Severen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Wielsbeke. In the 70th match minute, Snikberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathijs De Ceijser to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd minute of the match, Peter De Mol got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ruud Fierens was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Arthur Justens kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Ivens in the 78th minute of play forced FC Wielsbeke's goalkeeper Ruud Fierens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miguel Ivens in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ruud Fierens saved FC Wielsbeke from getting behind. Miguel Ivens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruud Fierens having to interfere. Peter De Mol struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Ruud Fierens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Snikberg. Peter De Mol could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Ruud Fierens made a huge save. Daniel Gijselinkx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 96 minutes into the match, FC Wielsbeke's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Ivens came free, but Ruud Fierens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
