Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gabriel Eggermont started the match with the kick off. When Gabriel Eggermont came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Zoetwater fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriel Eggermont couldn't finish the play. Kenny Oosters showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serge Pancken, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. After 15 played minutes Martelange got a freekick which was hit by Wilfried Meertens. Martelange's Ralf Du Molin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Eggermont in the 18th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Yanne Van Der Taelen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Martelange's supporters rose to their feet, but Yanne Van Der Taelen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kenny Oosters breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Kristof de Pelsmaecker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Martelange's Roel Coveliers got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yanne Van Der Taelen in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kenny Oosters prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Martelange's Roel Coveliers got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Roel Coveliers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zoetwater's Kenny Oosters played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yanne Van Der Taelen in the 38th minute of play. Gabriel Eggermont fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ralf Du Molin having to interfere. Reinard Minnen hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Yanne Van Der Taelen to strike the kick off in the second half. Kristof de Pelsmaecker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Ralf Du Molin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lorenzo Switten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. In the 66thth minute of the game Bernard Wuets who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Martelange's Ralf Du Molin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Christoph Van Herck fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zoetwater's protests and gave Christoph Van Herck a yellow card for diving instead. Kenny Oosters made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roel Coveliers in the 79th minute of play. If Yanne Van Der Taelen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roel Coveliers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 97th minute, Lorenzo Switten got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
