Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Geordy Rompen got the match started through his kick off. If Geordy Rompen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jan-Joost Van Cleynenbreugel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Geordy Rompen's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. 9 minutes into the match, VC Schellebelle's goal looked a bit too open when Geordy Rompen came free, but Jan-Joost Van Cleynenbreugel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 12 minutes into the game, Piet Goethals was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Momignies's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave VC Schellebelle the free kick. Piet Goethals hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Niels Kempenaers struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Yanne Uytebroeck didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for VC Schellebelle. Guy Deckers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Guy Deckers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yanne Uytebroeck having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Guy Deckers's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Yanne Uytebroeck was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Momignies's zone, Guy Deckers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yanne Uytebroeck came out of the goal and Guy Deckers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Niels Kempenaers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Yanne Uytebroeck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Momignies's Yanne Uytebroeck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guy Deckers in the 30th minute of play. Luke Reijers could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Jan-Joost Van Cleynenbreugel made a huge save. 34 minutes into the match, Momignies's Luke Reijers sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jan-Joost Van Cleynenbreugel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 35th minute, Geordy Rompen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jan-Joost Van Cleynenbreugel came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Momignies's Luke Reijers. But to his dismay, Luke Reijers quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Yanne Uytebroeck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guy Deckers, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Momignies's Yanne Uytebroeck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niels Kempenaers in the 42nd minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Guy Deckers had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Yanne Uytebroeck. Momignies's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guy Deckers was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Guy Deckers made the kick off in the second half. Guy Deckers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Guy Deckers came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the VC Schellebelle fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guy Deckers couldn't finish the play. Yanne Uytebroeck was out of position in the 69 minute of play, and Guy Deckers capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Guy Deckers really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Guy Deckers blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Yanne Uytebroeck having to make a save. Yanne Uytebroeck made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Niels Kempenaers sent off a good shot on target. In the 93rd minute Piet Goethals shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Joost Van Cleynenbreugel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jan-Joost Van Cleynenbreugel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luke Reijers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 98th minute Geordy Rompen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Joost Van Cleynenbreugel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The VC Schellebelle supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing VC Schellebelle would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
